Enrollment Step 4 - 建议 & Registration

Completion of a planning and advising session is required before new academic students can register for classes.

You’ll set up your session after completing the 建议 Survey in Step 2. At this meeting, advisors will work with you to understand what classes are best for you to achieve your academic goals.

BEFORE YOUR ADVISING SESSION

Your advisor will help you based on information about your previous education. If you haven’t already submitted these items, please bring with you any of these that apply:

  • high school transcripts
  • college transcripts
  • GED certification
  • SAT/ACT scores
  • AP/IB/CLEP scores
  • NG Accuplacer testing scores

DURING YOUR ADVISING SESSION

During your planning and advising session, you and your advisor and/or program faculty member will discuss your academic goals, review your documentation and plan out the best classes for you. You’ll be set to register yourself for classes.

AFTER YOUR SESSION

  • Using instructions from your advisor, you will submit your documentation or any additional information that is needed.
  • If you can benefit from placement testing, your advisor will let you know how to complete that process.
